ILLiad and OCLC work in conjunction to process InterLibrary loans (ILL) for resource sharing.

OCLC uses the WorldCat Knowledge Base (KB) to process ILL requests by searching through stored KB data for the resource's bibliographical location and the lending rights.

ILLiad allows users to request as well as receive resources through ILL.

As part of the lending community, you have an opportunity to furnish resources from your Library's collection. When a resource has been requested by another institution, the collections tab will contain the detailed information from the KB on the collection item (i.e., Collection, ILL Terms, Instructions, URL).

The Collections Tab can be found in the Client by selecting Awaiting Lending Processing and then Lending Request.
